The North Western Railway (NWR) has announced a comprehensive plan to operate multiple special train services to assist pilgrims traveling to the annual Ramdevra Mela. According to Amit Sudarshan, Chief Public Relations Officer of NWR, the railway will run **four pairs of special train services** to ensure smooth connectivity for devotees during the fair period.
Key highlights of the announcement include:
- A total of four pairs of special trains will serve the Ramdevra Mela route.
- The services include three pairs between Bhagat ki Kothi and Ramdevra, and one pair between Shri Ganganagar and Pokaran.
- Train number 04861 will operate 29 trips from August 28 to September 25, 2026.
- These Mela special trains do not require prior seat reservations.
Details of Special Services
The special operations are designed to manage the high influx of pilgrims heading to the fair. Specifically, the **Bhagat ki Kothi-Ramdevra Mela Special (04861)** is scheduled to depart from Bhagat ki Kothi at **9:10 AM** and reach Ramdevra by **1:00 PM**. Passengers should note that these services are specifically designated as Mela specials and **do not require prior seat reservations**, allowing for more flexible travel planning. While some services commenced earlier, the Jodhpur-Ramdevra special trains are slated to continue their operations through September 16, 2026.
Updates on Regular Express Services
In addition to the Mela specials, the North Western Railway has clarified the status of regular long-distance services. The **Jodhpur-Bengaluru Weekly Express (Train No. 16533/16507)** continues to operate as per its regular schedule. This train, which features **46 scheduled halts**, maintains its stop at **Ghataprabha station**. Passengers traveling on this route should note that the train departs from Jodhpur Railway Station every Wednesday as per its standard timetable. Travelers are advised to check the official IRCTC website or the NTES app for real-time updates regarding these train schedules before heading to the station.
