The new bridge will be one kilometer long. To ensure strength and stability, 51 beams will be installed across the structure. Heavy machinery and a large workforce are currently deployed at the site to speed up the process. The work was reported to be in full swing during March 2026.

The overbridge is designed to remove traffic jams and provide a direct link between the highway and the railway line. Apart from this, a larger infrastructure plan is also in place. District Magistrate Satyendra Kumar has issued land acquisition orders for elevated roads along the Ganga-Varuna banks. A 21-kilometer elevated road from Ring Road to Rajghat will connect with Chaukaghat and Puranapul to help devotees visiting Kashi Vishwanath Dham.
