In the general budget, there is a significant focus on the introduction of modern trains such as Vande Bharat Sleeper, Vande Metro, and Bullet Trains within the Railways. Future Plans and Expectations
The budget outlines plans for the doubling of the Kandra-Nakum railroad and the Ilu-Silli Line, alongside the Tata-Badampahar rail route, with work on these projects expected to commence soon. Development plans are anticipated to receive funding, following prior surveys. Additionally, an initiative to replace old tracks is expected to be announced in order to enhance train speeds. The Railways will also begin installing an armor system across its entire network to further prevent accidents. Plans to increase the number of Amrit Bharat stations in the Chakradharpur division and to develop numerous locations along the Howrah-Mumbai route have also been included in the budget. However, railway officials have stated that they cannot provide further details until the pink book is released.
