Impact on September Travel
Infrastructure work at Mugma station in the Asansol division will lead to significant service disruptions in September. The Ranchi-Godda Express (18603) will remain cancelled on September 24 and 26. Additionally, the Jaynagar-Tatanagar Express (18120) and the Gorakhpur-Ranchi Weekly Express (18630) are cancelled on September 26. Passengers on the Hatia-Patna Patliputra Express (18622) should note the train will not run from September 23–26, while its return service, 18621, is cancelled from September 24–27.
Maintenance and Yard Projects
In the South Eastern Railway’s Adra division, a rolling block for track maintenance is scheduled from July 27 to August 2, 2026, causing widespread cancellations and short terminations. Furthermore, the Kharagpur Division is conducting yard remodelling at Baleshwar station as part of the Narayangarh–Bhadrak third line project. This project necessitates the cancellation of the Howrah–Puri–Howrah Express (12821/12822) from July 29 to August 9, and the Howrah–Bhubaneswar–Howrah Jan Shatabdi Express (12073/12074) on August 5.
