Indian Railways has officially commenced the trial runs for the country’s first Vande Bharat Superfast Parcel Train. The 16-coach rake, which was manufactured at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai, arrived in Kota on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, to undergo a comprehensive one-month evaluation process. This initiative marks a significant step toward modernizing the national logistics network by leveraging high-speed rail technology for freight transportation.
Key highlights of the trial program include:
• The trial is being conducted on the Nagda-Kota-Sawai Madhopur rail section.
• The train is designed to reach a maximum speed of 145 km/h.
