The trainset was developed by BEML using technology from the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai.
According to Dr. Manjunath Kanmadi, CPRO of South Western Railway, the train is currently with BEML for final tests and will be handed over to Indian Railways after all approvals are received.
