Which stations will get ChicKing outlets
The outlets are being set up across two railway divisions. In the Thiruvananthapuram Division, agreements are signed for Aluva and Alappuzha stations. The Palakkad Division has identified eight other key stations for this expansion.
| Division | Station Names |
|---|---|
| Thiruvananthapuram | Aluva, Alappuzha |
| Palakkad | Palakkad Junction, Shoranur Junction, Tirur, Kozhikode, Kannur, Kanhangad, Thalassery, Vadakara |
What are the rules and future plans
This initiative follows the amended catering policy from November 13, 2025, which allows single-brand outlets to operate through e-auctions. ChicKing has received a five-year license to run these shops. The railway officials stated that the goal is to provide a premium and hygienic food experience to passengers during station modernization.
Besides ChicKing, a Nescafe premium coffee outlet already started working at Thrissur station. The railways are also considering other big brands like KFC, McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Wow! Momo, Baskin-Robbins, Bikanerwala, and Haldiram for future setups.
