The return leg, Train 05194, departs Pathankot at 12:30 PM every Wednesday and arrives at Chhapra at 8:35 AM the next morning. These timings have been structured to ensure better connectivity for commuters traveling between the eastern and northern regions of the country.
Why the Extension Matters
According to Uchit Singhal, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of the Jammu Division, this decision was driven by the persistent demand from passengers. By extending the service, the Railways aims to ease the burden on regular trains that often face heavy waitlists during peak travel periods. The inclusion of various coach classes, including AC-3 Economy and General Class, ensures that the train remains accessible to a wide range of passengers, from long-distance travelers to those moving for seasonal work or family visits.
Passengers are strongly advised to check the latest seat availability and train status before heading to the station. You can confirm your bookings through the official IRCTC website, the mobile application, or at railway station reservation counters. For any travel-related assistance or grievances, passengers can dial the Rail Madad helpline at 139.
