For the return journey, the Dehradun-Ramnagar Express (15309) departs Dehradun at 3:55 p.m. and concludes its journey back in Ramnagar at 11:30 p.m. This synchronized schedule is designed to facilitate smooth travel for both daily commuters and long-distance passengers.
Boosting Tourism and Regional Growth
This new route is expected to serve as a major catalyst for the regional economy. By cutting down travel time and offering a more affordable transportation alternative, the service directly benefits students, farmers, and local traders who previously relied on more complex transit routes.
Beyond daily transit, the rail link is a significant boon for the tourism and pilgrimage sectors. It offers easier access for visitors heading to the world-renowned Jim Corbett National Park and provides a smoother travel experience for devotees embarking on the Char Dham Yatra. With its wide range of coach classes, the train ensures that both budget-conscious travelers and those seeking comfort have reliable options for traversing these two iconic regions of Uttarakhand.
