Indian Railways has shared some good news! Starting from September 1, 2025, they will gradually bring back train stoppages at important stations in Odisha and surrounding states. This move is in response to requests from the public and local leaders to make travel easier for everyone.

From September 1, several trains will have their halts restored. This includes the Puri–Shalimar Dhauli Express at Markona and the Titlagarh–Howrah Ispat Express at Bagdehi, among others. In addition, the Rourkela–Howrah Vande Bharat Express is set to expand from 8 coaches to 16. This upgrade is part of a larger effort by the Railway Board to increase capacity on busy routes, as trains have been running full due to high demand.
