To assist the thousands of pilgrims traveling to Baba Baidyanath Dham during the auspicious Shravani Mela, Eastern Railway has announced the operation of 16 pairs of unreserved special trains. These services, managed by the Malda Division, are specifically designed to provide a seamless commute between Bhagalpur in Bihar and Deoghar in Jharkhand, helping to reduce the heavy passenger load on local road networks.
- 16 pairs of special trains will run between Bhagalpur and Deoghar.
- Operational dates: August 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, and 30, 2026.
- Train 03412 departs Bhagalpur at 5:30 PM, arriving in Deoghar at 9:30 PM.
- Train 03411 departs Deoghar at 10:20 PM, reaching Bhagalpur at 2:10 AM the next day.
- Stops include Tikani, Dhouni, Barahat, Murhara, Banka, Katoriya, and Chandan.
Expanded Connectivity for Pilgrims
The introduction of these special services highlights the commitment of the Indian Railways to passenger convenience during peak pilgrimage seasons. By offering these unreserved special trains, the railway aims to ensure that Kanwariyas and other devotees can reach the holy destination of Deoghar with greater ease and safety.
Beyond the Bhagalpur-Deoghar route, the railway has implemented further measures to handle the massive influx of travelers. This includes a special MEMU train operating between Madhupur and Patna from August 2nd to August 29th. Additionally, two pairs of special trains are currently connecting Ranchi and Bhagalpur, with services running from July 26th through September 12th.
