Indian Railways has officially transitioned the Dadar-Ballia special service into a permanent express train, providing commuters with a more reliable and structured travel experience. This upgrade replaces the previous special status, with the new service operating under train numbers 11043 and 11044. The transition is effective immediately, ensuring enhanced connectivity for passengers traveling between Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.

Key details of the new service include:

  • Train Number 11043 (Dadar-Ballia) commences regular operations on August 17, 2026.
  • Train Number 11044 (Ballia-Dadar) begins its regular run on August 19, 2026.
  • The service will run on a tri-weekly basis.
  • Revised coach composition includes 1 AC 2-tier, 3 AC 3-tier, 7 sleeper class, 4 general second class, and 2 second-seating-cum-guard brake van coaches.

Updated Train Schedule and Stoppages

The Dadar-Ballia Express (11043) is scheduled to depart from Dadar at 14:05 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reaching its destination in Ballia at 01:45 on the third day. For the return journey, the Ballia-Dadar Express (11044) will depart from Ballia at 15:15 on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, arriving at Dadar at 03:35 on the third day.

To ensure wide accessibility for passengers across different states, the train will feature major stoppages at Kalyan, Nashik Road, Bhusawal, Bina, Chhatarpur, Khajuraho, Prayagraj, and Varanasi. This route optimization by Central Railway is expected to significantly improve travel convenience for those commuting along this corridor.

Booking and Passenger Information

Passengers planning their journeys are advised to verify the detailed timetables and specific halt timings through the official Indian Railways website or the NTES app. Tickets for these regular services are currently available for booking via the RailOne app. As the service moves from a special category to a regular express train, passengers are encouraged to plan their travel well in advance to ensure seat availability on this popular route.
