The North Western Railway has officially announced a comprehensive revision to the coach combinations for 10 popular trains operated by the Jodhpur Division. These important operational changes are scheduled to become effective starting in November 2026. According to Hitesh Yadav, the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of the Jodhpur Division, these strategic adjustments are being implemented in a phased manner to efficiently accommodate surging passenger demand and significantly enhance overall travel convenience. Passengers planning their journeys around this period should carefully note the updated compositions to avoid any confusion at the station.
The comprehensive updates cover major services including the Marudhar Express and Suryanagari Superfast, ensuring a more comfortable journey for regular commuters and long-distance travellers alike. Travellers are advised to verify their coach positions before boarding as the updated layouts will introduce a standardized distribution of air-conditioned, sleeper, and general classes across these key routes.
Marudhar Express Coach Revision Details
The updated configuration for the Marudhar Express, operating under Train Numbers 14854/14853, 14864/14863, and 14866/14865, will take effect from Jodhpur starting on November 16 and from Varanasi City starting on November 17. The newly revised 21-coach composition will meticulously include two AC-2 tier coaches, five AC-3 tier coaches, two AC-3 tier economy coaches, six sleeper coaches, four general unreserved coaches, one power car, and one guard coach.
Suryanagari Superfast and Delhi Route Updates
For the prestigious Suryanagari Superfast (Train Number 12479/12480), the brand new combination will be implemented starting from Jodhpur on November 22 and from Bandra Terminus on November 23. This vital service will be upgraded to a spacious 22-coach configuration consisting of one AC-1 tier, two AC-2 tier, four AC-3 tier, three AC-3 tier economy, six sleeper, four general, and two power cars.
Additionally, Train Number 22481/22482, which operates smoothly between Jodhpur and Delhi Sarai, will undergo similar structural changes starting from Jodhpur on November 20 and from Delhi Sarai on November 21. This particular service will also feature the upgraded 22-coach layout, comprising one AC-1 tier, two AC-2 tier, four AC-3 tier, three AC-3 tier economy, six sleeper, four general, and two power cars to better serve passengers travelling to the national capital.
