Indian Railways has announced major changes for commuters in the Delhi-NCR region starting March 1, 2026. While nine local trains have been cancelled for the entire month due to maintenance and operational needs, the railway is also rolling out over 1,244 special trips to help people reach home for Holi. Additionally, platform ticket sales are currently restricted at major stations to control the massive festive crowds and ensure safety.

Which Trains Are Cancelled and Why?
Several short-distance services connecting Delhi and Ghaziabad will remain suspended from March 1 to March 31. This is mainly due to scheduled maintenance work and infrastructure improvements on Bridge No. 55 between Ghevara and Bahadurgarh. Passengers who rely on daily MEMU or EMU services are advised to check the NTES app before reaching the station.
