Indian Railways has announced a new unreserved special train service between Udhna and Hasanpur Road to manage the increased passenger traffic during the summer holidays. This new service will commence on April 5, 2026, and continue until late June 2026, providing crucial direct connectivity for travelers from North Bihar to Surat. The train will primarily feature general coaches, making travel accessible without prior reservation.
Key Details of the Special Train Service
The newly announced special train, numbered 09031/09032, is a significant addition to the summer travel arrangements. Train number 09031, operating from Udhna to Hasanpur Road, will run every Sunday, beginning April 5, 2026, and concluding on June 29, 2026. For the return journey, train number 09032 from Hasanpur Road to Udhna will operate every Monday, with its final arrival scheduled for July 1, 2026. This decision was made by Indian Railways, with Western Railway responsible for its operation, as part of a larger initiative to introduce 1484 special trains during the 2026 summer season.
Benefits for Passengers and Connectivity
This special unreserved train is set to offer considerable relief to a large number of passengers, particularly those from North Bihar seeking direct travel options to and from Surat. It will significantly benefit commuters traveling along the Samastipur-Khagaria rail section, who often face challenges securing seats during peak holiday periods. By providing unreserved general coaches, the service ensures that more people can travel conveniently to their destinations without the need for advance booking, addressing the rush of summer vacation travelers.
