Indian Railways is offering a 3% discount to passengers who book their unreserved tickets using digital payment methods through the RailOne app. This initiative by the Ministry of Railways is aimed at promoting cashless transactions and simplifying the ticketing process for daily commuters. The scheme is currently active and provides an upfront reduction in the fare for all eligible digital transactions.
How can passengers get the 3% discount on tickets?
To avail of this benefit, passengers must use the RailOne mobile application for booking their unreserved journey tickets. When making the payment, users can select any digital mode such as UPI, debit cards, credit cards, or net banking to receive an immediate 3% discount on the total fare. This facility is exclusive to the RailOne app and cannot be used on other online platforms or at railway station counters for unreserved tickets.
