Indian Railways is moving toward the final stages of the Satna-Panna rail line project in Madhya Pradesh. A trial run on the section between Phulwari and Devendranagar is scheduled for April 25 to April 30 2026. This marks the first time a train will reach the Devendranagar station which is a significant achievement for the West Central Railway zone.
What are the key details of the upcoming trial run?
The upcoming trial run follows a successful speed test conducted on March 24 2026 between Nagod and Phulwari. During that trial the Commissioner of Railway Safety oversaw a train running at 120 km/h on the 15.45 km stretch. The current phase focuses on the 7 km line between Phulwari and Devendranagar which has now been completed. Officials have confirmed that the goal is to establish full connectivity up to Sakiria by the end of 2026.
