Indian Railways is taking a major step to improve train operations in the Moradabad division of Northern Railway. Two new bypass lines will be constructed to streamline the routes of the Link Express and Mussoorie Express. These projects aim to eliminate the technical necessity of engine reversals at specific stations, which currently consumes a lot of time. The Railway Board has sanctioned 15 lakh rupees each for the final location survey of these bypasses.

How will these bypasses benefit the daily passengers?
The primary advantage of this project is the reduction in travel time. Once the bypasses are operational, the Link Express journey from Moradabad to Aligarh is expected to be shortened from four hours to three hours. Passengers will no longer have to wait for engine changes at Chandausi, Najibabad, or Gajraula. This will not only make the journey faster but also help the railway save on fuel and manpower costs.
