Train operations on the Muzaffarpur-Hajipur rail section were briefly interrupted on Sunday after a fire broke out in the bushes near the Bibiganj Anandpuri area. Strong winds and intense heat caused the flames to spread rapidly toward the railway tracks, forcing officials to stop several trains to ensure passenger safety. The Railway Protection Force, GRP, and local fire department managed to control the situation within thirty minutes.

What caused the delay in train movements on this route?
The fire started in the dry vegetation along the railway tracks near Bibiganj Anandpuri on Sunday afternoon. Due to the prevailing heat and wind, the fire became difficult to manage initially, posing a risk to passing trains. As a safety precaution, railway authorities decided to halt train traffic until the fire department confirmed the area was safe. This disruption caused several trains to remain stationary at various points along the section for a short period.
How did the railway authorities respond to the fire incident?
Upon receiving the information, teams from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the Government Railway Police (GRP) reached the spot immediately. The fire department was called in to prevent the flames from reaching the main line. After nearly half an hour of effort, the fire was fully extinguished. Railway officials noted that this was not the first time such an incident occurred in this area and warned that these fires could lead to major accidents if not controlled in time.
