The Railway Ministry has officially approved the operation of a new weekly train service connecting Tanakpur in Uttarakhand to Hazur Sahib Nanded in Maharashtra. This decision follows recommendations from Union Minister of State Jitin Prasada and aims to provide better connectivity for Sikh pilgrims traveling to the holy shrine. The train will operate via major junctions like Bareilly, Mathura, and Jhansi, providing a direct link for devotees in the Kumaon region.
Train Timings and Schedule Details
The new train service will operate with train numbers 17631 and 17632. The schedule has been designed to facilitate long-distance travel across several states including Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra.

Key Stations and Coach Composition
The train will consist of 21 modern LHB coaches to ensure a safe and comfortable journey. The composition includes eight sleeper coaches, four general coaches, four AC 3-tier coaches, two AC 2-tier coaches, a pantry car, and a generator coach. The primary maintenance for the rake will be conducted at the Nanded station.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed gratitude to the Railway Ministry for this approval. While the timetable is fixed, the official inauguration date for regular operations will be announced by the authorities shortly. The move is expected to significantly boost spiritual tourism and local transport in the Pilibhit and Bareilly regions.
