Indian Railways has introduced a weekly Summer Special train service between Durg in Chhattisgarh and Haridwar in Uttarakhand. This service is designed to manage the high volume of passengers expected during the summer vacation period in 2026. The South East Central Railway (SECR) will operate this train to provide a direct travel option between these two states.

Schedule and Dates of Operation
The train service will operate for approximately two months starting from April 19, 2026. Train number 08743 will leave Durg Junction every Sunday at 11:00 AM and reach Haridwar at 5:30 PM on Monday. The return service, train number 08744, will depart from Haridwar every Monday at 9:00 PM and is scheduled to reach Durg Junction at 3:00 AM on Wednesday. This weekly arrangement will continue until the end of June 2026.

The special train is equipped with various classes including AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper, and General coaches to accommodate different passenger needs. It will halt at several important stations to facilitate easy boarding for travelers across multiple regions. The detailed list of stoppages is provided below:
