Indian Railways has announced significant operational adjustments for trains passing through the Bina station (West Central Railway) and Agasod station (Jhansi Division, North Central Railway). The changes are necessitated by essential yard remodeling and the integration of the third railway line between Agasod and Bina. These works, scheduled from 18 September to 16 October 2026, are aimed at enhancing safety and operational capacity across the network.
Impact on Train Schedules and Routes
During this period, multiple trains will be diverted via alternative routes to ensure smooth traffic flow. Notable diversions include the Dadar-Ballia (01025/01026), Ahmadabad-Darbhanga (19165/19166), and Gorakhpur-Okha (15045/15046) services, among others. Passengers are advised that specific dates for these diversions vary by train and route. Additionally, two trains, 12174 (Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh-LTT) and 22583 (Chhapra-LTT), will be rescheduled by 120 minutes on 13 October.
Reduced Stoppage at Bina Station
To maintain operational efficiency during the construction phase, the stoppage time for 20 trains at Bina station has been temporarily reduced to just two minutes. This list includes key services such as the Gorakhpur-Pune (15029), Rajendra Nagar-Indore (19322), Lucknow Jn-Bhopal (12593), and Valsad-Kanpur Central (12943). Passengers boarding or deboarding at Bina are urged to be alert as the dwell time will be strictly limited.
Important Advice for Passengers
Railway officials emphasize that these modifications are temporary and vital for long-term infrastructure improvement. Because the schedule adjustments affect various dates between September and October, travelers should not rely on older timetables. It is highly recommended that all passengers check the real-time status of their trains via the NTES app or by calling the Railway Helpline at 139 before heading to the station to avoid any last-minute inconvenience.
