The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) is executing essential redevelopment work, including the installation of steel girders on the concourse level roof, to transform the station into a world-class transit hub. To facilitate these upgrades, Northern Railway will implement daily four-hour traffic blocks from 10:10 AM to 2:10 PM throughout this period.

Several major services will see platform changes during this redevelopment phase. The 12046 Chandigarh-New Delhi Shatabdi Express will now depart from Platform 2 instead of its usual Platform 6. Similarly, the 14542 Amritsar-Chandigarh Express is rescheduled to arrive at Platform 1, and the 15531 Saharsa-Amritsar Jansadharan Express will be diverted to Platform 1 instead of Platform 3.
Furthermore, the 12058 Daulatpur Chowk-New Delhi Janshatabdi Express and the 14332 Kalka-Delhi Express will operate from Platform 3 instead of their designated Platform 2.
