In a shocking incident that highlights a major breach of safety protocols at Buxar railway station, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) has arrested a tractor driver for driving his vehicle onto the station’s Foot Over Bridge (FOB). The incident, which occurred on August 3, 2026, has been treated with the utmost seriousness by railway authorities due to the significant risk posed to passenger safety.

  • Incident Date: August 3, 2026
  • Location: Buxar Railway Station Foot Over Bridge
  • Accused: Ramji Yadav (39), son of Mohan Yadav, resident of Beri, Itarhi, Buxar
  • Legal Action: FIR registered under Section 159 of the Railways Act (Case No. 28/26)

Strict Action Against Safety Violations

The RPF Buxar unit acted swiftly after the tractor was spotted on the pedestrian bridge, an area strictly prohibited for any motor vehicles. By driving the heavy machinery onto the FOB, the accused, identified as Ramji Yadav, committed a severe violation of railway safety regulations. The presence of such heavy equipment on a structure designed solely for pedestrian movement could have led to a catastrophic structural failure or injury to passengers.

Following the incident, the RPF registered a formal case under Section 159 of the Railways Act, which deals with the endangerment of safety in railway premises. The driver was promptly apprehended and taken into custody.

Railway Commitment to Passenger Safety

Senior railway officials have expressed deep concern over the incident, stating that such negligence is unacceptable within railway premises. The administration has reiterated that passenger safety remains the top priority and that any individual found compromising the security of railway infrastructure will face stringent legal consequences.

The RPF has warned that they will continue to maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward such reckless behavior. This arrest serves as a stern reminder that railway property is governed by strict laws, and authorities are committed to ensuring that station areas remain safe for the thousands of commuters who use them daily.
