Indian Railways is converting the popular special train service running between Danapur and SMVT Bengaluru into a regular daily express train to improve connectivity between North and South India. Passengers travelling on this route will experience a significant drop in ticket prices along with guaranteed year-round availability. The previously operated special service with numbers 03251 and 03252 is now permanently upgraded to regular express status under the brand new train numbers 22365 and 22366.

Key Highlights of the Regularized Train Service
Train number 22365 Danapur-SMVT Bengaluru Express begins its daily runs from September 1, 2026
Return service train number 22366 SMVT Bengaluru-Danapur Express starts operations from September 3, 2026
Train composition includes 24 LHB-type coaches offering massive capacity for daily commuters
Regularization brings a direct fare reduction ranging from 200 to 600 rupees for passengers

Detailed Timings and Schedule

According to Saraswati Chandra, Chief Public Relations Officer of the East Central Railway, train number 22365 will depart from Danapur at 2:45 PM every day and reach SMVT Bengaluru at 2:30 PM on the third day. On the reverse direction, train number 22366 will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 11:50 PM and arrive at Danapur at 12:15 AM on the third day. This reliable timetable ensures seamless travel for thousands of regular passengers.

Coach Composition and Major Halts

To accommodate high passenger demand, the train will run with a robust composition of 24 coaches. This includes two LSLRD coaches, seven general second-class coaches, 10 sleeper-class coaches, three AC-III tier coaches, and two AC-II tier coaches. During its long journey connecting North and South, the train will halt at several key stations including Ara, Buxar, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction (DDU), Prayagraj Chheoki, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Nagpur, Vijayawada, Perambur (Chennai), and Katpadi.

Benefits for Passengers

This transition to a regular daily service is a major relief for passengers travelling between North India and South India. It directly benefits travelers across states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Maharashtra. Furthermore, travellers can now book their journeys in advance without worrying about special train surges, enjoying both improved seat availability and reduced fares.
