This service is specifically designed to alleviate congestion caused by heavy waterlogging in Assam’s Tinsukia division, particularly around Simaluguri town.

Train operations between Simaluguri–Namti Ali and Simaluguri–Selenghat sections have been suspended indefinitely due to the overflowing Dikhow River. The diverted trains are currently being rerouted via the Rangiya–Rangapara–Dibrugarh corridor.
