The Ministry of Railways will develop 76 permanent passenger holding areas across India to manage heavy crowds effectively. These zones will be equipped with modern amenities like seating arrangements, toilets, drinking water, and real-time information systems. To ensure better monitoring, AI-enabled CCTV cameras will be installed at major stations for live crowd tracking.
