Passengers travelling via Western Railway need to pay attention to their train schedules for the coming week. The Rajkot Division has announced a traffic block due to double-track work in the Jamnagar-Lakhabawal section. This infrastructure upgrade is crucial for better rail connectivity but will impact train operations from February 21 to February 26, 2026. Several trains will be short-terminated, while others will see changes in their origin stations or routes.

Due to the ongoing work, some major trains will not complete their full journey and will stop at earlier stations. Similarly, some trains will start from different stations than usual. Passengers booked on these trains should note the changes to avoid inconvenience.

Route Diversions and Expected Delays
Apart from short terminations, the railway administration has diverted the route of Train 12905 Porbandar-Shalimar Express. On February 26, this train will run via the Jetalsar-Bhaktinagar route instead of its regular path. Passengers boarding from intermediate stations on the original route should check the new alignment.
Operational reasons will also cause delays for certain trains. Train 19210 Okha-Bhavnagar Express is rescheduled to depart 2 hours late on February 24. On February 21, 22, and 23, it may face delays of around 25 minutes. Additionally, Train 12478 Katra-Jamnagar Express will be delayed by 30 minutes on February 23.
Impact of Diva-Vasai Road Block
There is also a separate block for goods line commissioning in the Diva-Vasai Road section until February 22. This will affect trains connecting to the Gujarat region.
- Train 22718 Secunderabad-Rajkot Express: On February 21, this train will be halted at Bhiwandi Road for about 90 minutes.
- Train 11087 Veraval-Pune Express: On February 21, this train will depart from Veraval at 2:35 PM instead of the scheduled 11:05 AM.
