Fog Lifts in Itawa, Reducing Train Delays After Weeks of Disruptions

In Itawa, the fog has reduced over the last two days, helping trains to run faster again. For the past 15 days, many trains were running hours late, but now the situation is getting better.

On Monday, two trains, the Udhampur and Mahananda Express, were cancelled. The Hapa Special train was the most delayed, arriving 11 hours and 30 minutes late. Many passengers had to wait in the cold for their trains.


Several other trains also experienced delays. For example, the Vande Bharat Express was 1 hour and 10 minutes late, while the Intercity Express was delayed by 2 hours and 20 minutes. Passengers on the Kanpur Passenger and other trains faced similar long waits.

In total, about a dozen trains were reported to be running late, including the Bikaner Howrah Express and the Muri Express, which were also delayed by over an hour. People traveling had to cope with chilly weather as they waited.


With the fog clearing up, it is expected that train schedules will continue to improve. Passengers are advised to check the latest timings before traveling to avoid any inconvenience.
