What’s inside:

This article discusses train delays in Agra due to fog, affecting schedules and causing passenger complaints.

Fog has caused major delays in train services in Agra, with trains arriving much later than scheduled. Passengers are frustrated as trains that should arrive in the morning are reaching in the evening.

On Tuesday, many trains like the Gandhi Dham-Bhagalpur Express and the Awadh Express were delayed by several hours. Some trains took over 14 hours to arrive, making journeys much longer than expected.

Passengers at Agra’s railway stations expressed their anger, with many cancelling their tickets. The severe fog has slowed down train speeds, leading to a backlog of services, with thousands still traveling.

Due to safety concerns, trains are being operated on a semi-automatic signaling system, which adds to the delays. This system allows only one train between two stations at a time, increasing wait times.

In addition to train delays, flights to and from Agra were also affected. Flights from Hyderabad and Bengaluru faced delays of up to four hours, leading to passenger protests at the airport.

Summary:

  • Train services in Agra are heavily delayed due to fog.

  • Many trains are arriving hours late, causing passenger frustration.

  • Passengers are cancelling tickets and facing long waits.

  • Safety measures are leading to slower train operations.

  • Flight delays are also happening, causing further inconvenience.
