Gaya Committee Proposes Direct Train Service to Mumbai and Bengaluru in Eastern Central Railway Meeting

Recently, a meeting was held by the Eastern Central Railway’s Regional Railway Users Consultative Committee in Patna. The focus was on improving train services in the Gaya region. The meeting included railway officials and committee members who shared valuable suggestions.

Dr. Kaushalendra Pratap, a member of the committee, proposed starting direct train services from Gaya to big cities like Mumbai and Bengaluru. He also requested that the special train service from Bengaluru to Yeshvantpur be made permanent.


Passengers could benefit greatly from these changes, as it would provide more direct travel options. Additionally, there were requests to increase the frequency of important trains like the Parasnath Express and the Gaya-Chennai Express, among others. This could mean more convenient travel times for people in the area.

Moreover, discussions included the need for double tracking and electrification of the Gaya-Kiul line to enhance its capacity. There were also concerns raised about unauthorized travel in AC coaches of trains like Vande Bharat, highlighting the need for better enforcement.


In response to these suggestions, General Manager Chhatrasal Singh assured that they would be taken seriously. The railway authorities are expected to consider these requests and work on implementing them for the betterment of train services in the region.
