What’s inside:

This article talks about a successful speed trial conducted by the North Central Railway between Tundla and Mandarak stations.

Recently, the North Central Railway started increasing the speed of trains. On Saturday, a test was conducted where a light engine ran at 160 km/h from Tundla to Mandarak station.

This trial is part of a larger effort to improve train speeds and safety. A special sensor called “Kavach” was also tested during this trial. This sensor helps stop the train automatically if it detects a red signal.

For passengers, this means that trains will soon run faster and more safely. Currently, trains from Hathras Junction operate at a speed of 130 km/h, but this could change in the near future.

The trial was successful, with officials from all railway departments present to oversee the operation. This will likely lead to more speed tests, including for the Vande Bharat trains on the Tundla-Aligarh track.

In summary, the railway is focused on both increasing speed and enhancing safety measures. More changes are expected soon, benefiting passengers across the region.

Summary:

  • Speed trial conducted from Tundla to Mandarak at 160 km/h.

  • Kavach sensor tested for automatic stopping at red signals.

  • Current speed from Hathras Junction is 130 km/h.

  • Officials monitored the successful trial closely.

  • More speed tests for Vande Bharat trains are planned soon.
