Major Train Disruptions on Mumbai-Pune Route This Weekend Due to Karjat Yard Reorganisation on October 11-12

This weekend, thousands of commuters traveling between Mumbai and Pune will face trouble. Central Railway has decided to reorganize the Karjat yard, leading to a major traffic block on October 11 and 12.

During this time, several important trains will not run. Trains like the Deccan Queen, Pragati Express, and Indrayani Express will be cancelled on both days along with the Sinhagad Express on Sunday.


For long-distance travelers, the Vande Bharat Express on the Mumbai-Solapur route will be completely cancelled on October 12. Additionally, the Siddheshwar Express will stop at Pune instead of Mumbai, requiring passengers to find other travel options.

Local train services between Karjat-Neral and Karjat-Khopoli will also be fully suspended during this period. However, local trains between Neral and CSMT will continue without any changes.


Passengers are advised to check train schedules before traveling and plan their journeys accordingly. This disruption is likely to particularly affect weekend travelers and those shopping for the festive season.
