To ensure safety and ease of travel, the Public Works Department (PWD) has equipped the bridge with service lanes, proper road markings, reflective sign boards, and modern lighting for night travel.
How will this project benefit the local people?
The bridge will provide a huge relief to over 2 lakh people daily. Previously, about 120 passenger and goods trains passed through the Kachna crossing every day, causing the gates to close every 15 minutes. This project will now provide seamless connectivity to several areas including Shankar Nagar, VIP Colony, Khamhardih, and Kachna. It will also benefit drivers traveling towards Bilaspur and Baloda Bazar.
