• Train numbers: 04072 (New Delhi to Supaul) and 04071 (Supaul to New Delhi).
• Service duration: Operations run from August 6, 2026, to October 2, 2026.
• Coach composition: A total of 16 coaches, including 3 AC-3 Tier, 8 Sleeper, 4 General, and 2 SLR coaches.
• Travel time: The journey covers approximately 1250 kilometers in about 33 hours.

Train No. 04072 departs from New Delhi daily at 9:35 PM, with operations running from August 6, 2026, until September 30, 2026. On the return leg, Train No. 04071 departs from Supaul daily at 7:45 AM, with services running from August 8, 2026, until October 2, 2026.
Route and Stoppages
To ensure maximum reach across the region, the train has been scheduled with several key stoppages. Passengers can board or deboard at Saharsa, Simri Bakhtiyarpur, Mansi, Khagaria, Begusarai, Barauni, Shahpur Patori, Hajipur, Sonepur, Ballia, Ghazipur City, Varanasi, and Prayagraj. This extensive route ensures that travelers from various parts of North Bihar can easily access the service.
East Central Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Saraswati Chandra emphasized that this special train is a response to the persistent demand for better connectivity. By deploying 16 coaches, the railway aims to significantly reduce congestion on existing trains, ensuring a more comfortable journey for those traveling to Delhi for work or education.
