A new Vande Bharat train is coming to Prayagraj! This train will connect Varanasi and Raipur, passing through Prayagraj Junction. The proposal for this service has been sent to the railway board by the South East Central Railway in Bilaspur.
This will be the second longest Vande Bharat train route in India, covering a distance of 835 kilometers. Currently, the longest route is between Pune and Nagpur, which takes around 12 hours for 881 kilometers.
For passengers, this new train is expected to make travel faster. The journey from Prayagraj to Raipur will take about 11 to 12 hours, while Varanasi to Raipur will be around 13.5 to 14 hours. The train is planned to leave Raipur at 6 AM and reach Varanasi by 8 PM.
Currently, there are three trains running from Raipur to Varanasi via Prayagraj, including the Chapra-Durg Sarnath Express. These trains take around 19 hours for the journey.
The introduction of the Vande Bharat train will greatly improve travel times for passengers. Once it starts, it will provide a faster and more comfortable option for those traveling between these cities.
