The North Western Railway has officially announced the launch of three special rail services to accommodate the surge of pilgrims traveling from Delhi to the Khatu Shyamji temple. This initiative aims to facilitate travel for devotees participating in upcoming festivities, including the festival of Raksha Bandhan and the monthly Ekadashi-Dwadashi fairs at the Khatu Shyamji temple. According to Amit Sudarshan, the Chief Public Relations Officer of the North Western Railway, the decision was formally announced on August 22, 2026. A key service included in this operation is the Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Ringas Ekadashi unreserved special train, specifically designed to provide convenient transportation for those visiting the monthly fair.
Travel Arrangements and Connectivity
Ringas Junction remains the primary railway station for those traveling to Khatu Dham. Pilgrims arriving at Ringas can utilize taxis, buses, or jeeps to cover the remaining 17 to 18-kilometer distance to the Khatu Shyamji temple. Additionally, for the Sunday schedule on August 23, 2026, there are 19 train services available between New Delhi and Ringas to further support the influx of devotees. The North Western Railway announced three special rail services on August 22, 2026, to manage pilgrim rushes for Raksha Bandhan and monthly Ekadashi-Dwadashi fairs. Pilgrims can use the Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Ringas Ekadashi unreserved special train for their journey. For travel on Sunday, August 23, 2026, a total of 19 train services are available between New Delhi and Ringas.
