Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently visited Araria, where he announced new railway services and development projects worth over 44,000 crores. This event took place at the Araria Court Station, which was beautifully decorated for the occasion. Many local residents gathered to witness the celebrations.
During this visit, Modi virtually launched the new Araria-Galgalia railway line and flagged off four new train services. The atmosphere was lively, with school children performing dances and music before the Prime Minister’s program. The new train services are expected to benefit the entire Seemanchal region.
The new train services include the Jogbani-Danapur Vande Bharat Express, Jogbani-Erode Amrit Bharat Express, Jogbani-Danapur Amrit Bharat Express, and the Katihar-Siliguri Express. The Katihar-Siliguri Express will run for the first time on this new line, departing from Katihar at 5 AM and reaching Siliguri by 10 AM, with a return trip starting at 12:30 PM from Siliguri.
At the event, the railway authorities made extensive arrangements for the crowd, including seating and large LED screens to broadcast the Prime Minister’s address. The locals expressed their excitement about the new developments, believing it will make travel and business easier in the area.
In addition to the railway projects, Modi also inaugurated several initiatives such as the Koshi-Mechi link project, the Urban Livelihood Mission, and the Makhana Board. These efforts are seen as a significant boost for the region’s economy and infrastructure.
