Bihar’s Weather Update: Bihar is facing a double attack of cold weather. The Weather Department has issued a warning for the next 3 days. Cold days and dense fog are expected to continue during this time. An orange alert has been issued for 32 districts by the Weather Department.




Bihar is currently experiencing a severe cold spell with cold days and dense fog. The Weather Department has warned residents in 32 districts to be cautious for the next 3 days. The districts under the orange alert include Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Madhepura, Saharsa, Purnia, Vaishali, Samastipur, Khagaria, Katihar, Buxar, Bhojpur, Patna, Nalanda, Begusarai, Munger, Bhagalpur, Arwal, Jehanabad, Sheikhpura, Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Gaya, Nawada, Jamui, and Banka.

The Weather Department has also issued a warning for the next three hours for some areas in West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Aurangabad, Jehanabad, Gaya, Nalanda, Nawada, Bhagalpur, Saharsa, Madhepura, Darbhanga, Supaul, Araria, Purnia, Kishanganj, and Katihar districts, where heavy fog is likely to persist.


The Weather Department has predicted that Bihar will continue to be engulfed in dense fog for the next week due to the severe cold weather caused by a deep cyclone in the Indian Ocean. Additionally, several parts of Bihar are expected to experience cold days for the next three days.

The weather in Bihar on Thursday was extremely cold, with the celebration of Makar Sankranti likely to be affected by chilly weather. Most districts in the state experienced a drop of three to five degrees in maximum temperatures. Darbhanga, Chapra, and Valmikinagar witnessed severe cold days.
