The four-wheeler parking facility at Bhagalpur railway station has finally resumed operations for the public. The paid parking service started officially at 12:00 AM on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. This facility had been closed for paid usage since December 31, 2022, causing issues for daily commuters. A Patna-based agency named Mahika Enterprises has now taken over the management after winning the tender from the Malda Division.
New Parking Charges for Vehicles
The new agency has released a fixed fee structure based on the type of vehicle and the duration of the stay. Staff members have been deployed at the site to manage the billing system. Contract and Tender Details
The railway administration has awarded this parking contract for a total value of ₹73.12 lakh. The agreement is valid for a period of three years and will end on February 3, 2029. Under the terms of the contract, Mahika Enterprises is required to pay ₹18.28 lakh per quarter to the railways. The parking zone covers an area of approximately 1,650 square meters within the station premises. This step is expected to organize the vehicle movement in the circulating area.
