Indian Railways will launch a new DMU (Diesel Multiple Unit) train service on the Jasidih-Banka route starting April 1, 2026. This new service is designed to help daily commuters, including students and office-goers, who have been asking for a morning train for a long time. The Eastern Railway zone announced the details on March 26 as part of their updated train schedule initiative to improve local connectivity.

The new train will operate once daily, providing a much-needed link between several small stations and the main Jasidih junction. While the train currently runs once a day, railway officials are considering increasing the frequency if the passenger response is positive.
