- Improved platform surfaces for passenger safety and comfort
- Modern signage and passenger information systems
- Integration of local heritage elements in the station design
Vision of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme
Launched by the Ministry of Railways, this scheme focuses on continuous development with a long-term vision for station upgrades. Under this initiative, 30 stations in Punjab were selected for modernization to provide high-quality amenities and environment-friendly solutions. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the redevelopment of 508 stations in August 2023, and the work at Anandpur Sahib reflects the progress of this national mission. The project also aims to boost local economic activity through initiatives like One Station One Product while focusing on sustainable development.
