North Western Railway (NWR) set a historic milestone by earning a total revenue of ₹8622 crore in the financial year 2025-26. This performance reflects a 7.5% growth compared to the previous fiscal year. General Manager Amitabh announced these achievements during a press meet, highlighting the zone’s top-tier ranking in punctuality and grievance redressal through the Rail Madad portal.

Upcoming plans and station redevelopment
NWR is currently redeveloping 77 railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme with a budget of ₹4100 crore. To manage the summer rush, the zone will add 130 extra coaches to 51 pairs of trains during April 2026. New weekly special trains will run between Jodhpur and Danapur to assist passengers. Currently, five Vande Bharat Express services are operational in the zone, connecting major cities like Delhi, Jodhpur, Bikaner, and Udaipur. The railway administration advised passengers to check train status before traveling due to scheduled maintenance blocks between April and June.
