Indian Railways has issued a route diversion alert for the Bandra Terminus-Gomti Nagar-Bandra Terminus Special train services. This decision follows a major traffic and power block planned at Bridge No. 110, located between Kanpur Central and Kanpur Anwarganj stations. The maintenance work, which includes the replacement of sleepers and steel trough removal, will impact train movements from April 2, 2026, to May 13, 2026.

The diversion will affect specific weekly services of Train No. 05034 and 05033. These trains are operated as special trains on special fares by Western Railway. The block is scheduled daily for eight hours, specifically from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Northern Railway officials stated that the repair work is necessary for the safety of the bridge on the Lucknow-Kanpur section.
