Passengers traveling through the Danapur division of East Central Railway (ECR) need to plan their journeys carefully. Due to ongoing automatic block signaling and non-interlocking work, several trains will be cancelled or diverted on April 11, 2026. Railway officials confirmed that these changes are necessary to make rail operations safer and faster in the future.
🚨: Bihar Bullet Train Project: High-speed rail to connect Patna with Delhi and Siliguri।
Which trains are cancelled and diverted on this route?
The primary impact of this work will be on local and express trains connecting Patna, Mokama, and Kiul. The Kiul-Mokama MEMU (63331) and Mokama-Kiul MEMU (63332) will remain fully cancelled on April 11. Passengers should look for alternative transport as these services will not operate for the entire day.
The Patna-Dhanbad Express (13332) will follow a diverted route via Bakhtiyarpur, Biharsharif, Sheikhpura, and Kiul. Because of this diversion, the train will skip its scheduled stops at Barh, Mokama, Hathidah, and Barahiya stations. Similarly, the Deoghar-Patna MEMU (63209) will also run through the Lakhisarai-Sheikhpura-Bakhtiyarpur route, missing several stops between Mankatha and Athmalgola.
List of delayed and rescheduled trains
Several long-distance and passenger trains will face significant delays or controlled movement. Passengers are advised to check the live status before reaching the station to avoid long waiting hours. The details of the affected trains are provided in the table below:

Railway authorities mentioned that while this causes temporary inconvenience, the signaling upgrade is essential for modernizing the network.
