The Northeast Railway has officially granted regular express status to the Tanakpur-Achhnera special train, which has been running as a temporary service for the last four years. This move is expected to provide a major relief to daily commuters, students, and pilgrims traveling between Tanakpur and Mathura. With the regularization, passengers will see a significant reduction in ticket prices by nearly 35 percent as the special fare category is removed.
What are the new train numbers and schedule?
The train will now operate with new permanent numbers 15094 for the Tanakpur-Achhnera route and 15093 for the return journey from Achhnera to Tanakpur. It is scheduled to run five days a week, providing consistent connectivity to the region. The service will be available on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

- 15093 Achhnera-Tanakpur Express: Departs Achhnera at 03:30 PM and reaches Tanakpur at 11:45 PM
