Which trains are affected and why
The disruptions are caused by two main projects. Maintenance work on Platform Number 4 at Gondia station in the Nagpur division will close the down main line for about 20 days to replace the washable apron with a ballasted track. Additionally, a road underbridge is being constructed in the Nipania-Bhatapara section of the Raipur division. These works aim to improve train speed and safety.

Route changes and affected areas

Specifically, the Barauni-Gondia Express will only run up to Durg from May 2 to May 22, 2026. The Rewa-Itwari Express (11754) and Itwari-Rewa Express (11753) will be diverted via Jabalpur-Nainpur-Chhindwara-Itwari instead of the usual Balaghat and Gondia route.
