IRCTC Update: Official rate list for tea, coffee and water released to prevent overcharging

Many passengers often pay more than the actual price for beverages during their train journeys. To stop this, IRCTC has shared the official rate list for tea, coffee, and Rail Neer. Passengers can now check these fixed prices to ensure they are not overcharged by vendors.

What are the official rates for tea and coffee

The prices vary depending on the type of tea or coffee and the serving method. Standard tea in a disposable cup costs 5 rupees. For those preferring tea bags or instant coffee, the price is 10 rupees per cup. In trains like Humsafar, vending machine tea costs 10 rupees, while coffee and soup are priced at 15 rupees each.

What is the price of Rail Neer water bottles

The prices for Rail Neer packaged drinking water were revised effective September 22, 2025, following a GST reduction from 18% to 5%. The current fixed rates are as follows:
