During the visit, he issued several directions to improve passenger facilities and expand the station infrastructure. The primary focus of this visit was to address the congestion and lack of platforms at the station.

What are the plans for the new platform?
The railway administration will build a second platform at Pratapganj Railway Station. This construction will take place where the current rack point is located. The survey and measurement work for this project have already been completed. To make space for the platform, the existing rack point will be shifted to the northern side of the station.
What other improvements were ordered by the DRM?
Apart from the new platform, the DRM focused on cleanliness and basic amenities. He directed officials to install additional fans and build new toilets for passengers. He also expressed dissatisfaction with the condition of the damaged rack point and ordered its immediate repair. Furthermore, instructions were given to remove all illegal shops and kiosks built on railway land outside the station premises.
