Passengers traveling through Delhi Cantt Railway Station should prepare for significant travel adjustments as thirteen train services will bypass the station for a 70-day period. This temporary change is scheduled to take effect from August 1, 2026, and will continue until October 13, 2026, to facilitate essential infrastructure upgrades. The project focuses on the comprehensive redevelopment of Platform Numbers 2 and 3 as part of the broader Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, which aims to modernize facilities across the national railway network.
According to North Western Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) Amit Sudarshan, the decision was finalized to expedite construction work managed by both the North Western Railway and Northern Railway. Because this section serves as a vital link on the Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Rewari route, officials have coordinated the bypass to ensure safety and efficiency while the station undergoes its transformation.

Passenger Concerns and Advisory
Recognizing the potential inconvenience to daily commuters and long-distance travelers, the Jaipur-Dausa-Bandikui-Rajgarh-Alwar-Khairthal-Rewari-Delhi Cantt Rail Passengers Association has formally appealed to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. They have requested the implementation of temporary stoppages at the nearby Palam Railway Station to mitigate the disruption. In the meantime, all passengers are strongly advised to verify their specific travel schedules and station halts through official railway channels before heading to the station to avoid any last-minute surprises.
